The metal on the forks and knife blades appear to be silver-plate. The knife blades are impressed with a set of 4 hallmarks, but we cannot read them.

We have included 2 close-up images of one of the blades to try to show the hallmarks and how they look... Perhaps some of you might recognize who the maker is by the shapes of the hallmarks.

The pearl handles are natural, thickly carved and very beautiful, with a lovely, soft iridescence when lit by sunlight. A room drenched in sunshine, like a conservatory, a sun room, or even a room on the south side of your home, would be a perfect place to show off these wonderful, old treasures. Place them on your buffet table, set with pastel linens and tiered stands of sugar cookies and little cakes. Mother of pearl handles are a classic at tea time or for a very special luncheon with five of your best friends!

We can also send your prints in tubes if you like, but again, Canada Post charges a lot more for "round" packages. Having said this, we do understand that some prints can be very valuable now and priced in the many hundreds and even thousands of dollars, so under those circumstances, we certainly can understand your concern and will be very happy to package your prints any way you like.

If you would like a signature required for something valued at a lesser value, please ask and we will add the Canada Post service charge to your invoice.
