Absolutely stunning Christofle Marly French flatware. Marly is one of Christofle's iconic patterns and was originally launched in the 2nd half of the 19th century and named after Louis XIVth's Chateau de Marly where he escaped from the formality of his court during the construction of Versailles. This set belonged to us personally and is actually two sets combined.
The luncheon forks and luncheon spoons were bought later and have a very elegant monogram. The set is complete for 10, but can easily be made into a set for 12 as I'm including some extras. Making for a total of 79 pieces. The pieces are heavy and solid as is expected from the world's premier silver flatware maker. They feel wonderful in the hand and look exquisite on the table. This is an heirloom item that your family will proudly pass on from generation to generation. I still have my great-great-grandmother's Christofle Chrysanthème set from her wedding in 1901 and 111 years later it still looks amazing! All pieces are double hallmarked. We have in stock items by many major French Silversmiths who operated in the 19th century.
