24 Pc Lee & Wigfull CARVED Mother of Pearl Handled FISH Set w/Wood Chest! Magnificent Lee & Wigfull 24 Piece Mother of Pearl Handled FISH Set with Wood Chest! This exquisitely crafted flatware set boasts uniquely carved Mother of Pearl Handles and beautifully chased floral design with complimenting ferrules.

This set is a show-stopper! This set has been well preserved with a brilliant mirror finish and minimal surface scratches.

There is no plate loss or thinning except for a couple minor dots of plate loss on the back of one knife. (see last photo) The wonderful mother of pearl have a repair to one handle but so expertly done, appears to have been cut out and a new piece of mother of pearl was actually inlaid!

(See last photo) The knives measure 7 7/8" and the forks are 6 1/4". The knives are marked "L&W S" with and anchor for makers Lee & Wigfull of Sheffield England c.

The wood chest in in very good condition, lined with burgundy velvet and red satin in a wonderful pin-tucked texture, with individual slots for each piece! There is a brass plate on the lid without engraving. And YES there is a KEY to this chest! I works rather stiff so may need to oil it up. This gorgeous Mother of Pearl handled Fish Set would make an spectacular addition to any collection!
