CORONATION, A SILVERPLATE PATTERN WAS INTRODUCED BY COMMUNITY (NOW ONEIDA) IN 1936 TO COMMEMORATE THE CROWNING OF EDWARD VIII OF ENGLAND. DUE TO HIS ABDICATION, THIS EVENT NEVER TOOK PLACE.

CORONATION HAS BEEN A HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL PATTERN IN THE U. NAVARRE PATTERN GLASSWARE BY FOSTORIA, ALSO INTRODUCED IN 1936 WAS DESIGNED TO COORDINATE WITH CORONATION. THE MOTIF ON THE HANDLE OF THE FLATWARE MATCHES THE CENTRAL MOTIF ON THE GLASS STEMWARE. THE REFINISHING RESULTED IN PIECES BEING IN LIKE NEW CONDITION AND.

TAKING AWAY WHATEVER SCRATCHES ONCE EXISTED. SOME TARNISHED EDGES CAN BE NOTED FROM THE SET SITTING. ALL THESE YEARS - CAN BE EASILY POLISHED. BOX SHOWS MINOR WEAR AND SCRATCHES. BOX IS NOT ORIGINAL TO THE SET; THE FOIL LABEL ON BOX DOES.
