A beautiful antique/vintage set of fish eaters made by the reputable firm of R. Of Sheffield and presented in their original case. The set comprises six pairs of fish knives and forks with silver plated blades/tines & collars and beautiful mother of pearl handles. The forks measure just under 17cm long and the knives are 20cm with lovely engraved blades. The case has a black plush interior to hold the cutlery in place with an ivory satin lining inside the lid.

The case itself is covered in faux? Shagreen that was once dark blue all over but this has faded on the top - the original colour is still visible inside and underneath. The decorative brass clasps are still in place but one is a bit stiff. Offered for sale in excellent used condition - no damage or repairs, just minor wear from age and occasional, careful use. The plating is in very good order and the blades & collars are firm. The mother of pearl is all in lovely order too - no staining or chips, maybe a slight scratch or two and some natural surface indentations. The blades have fine scratches and surface wear but nothing unsightly or unusual. Please be realistic about items of this age.
