19c WOOD & SONS DUBLIN SILVERPLATE FLATWARE CANTEEN SET IN OAK CHEST 76 PIECES. Here is an antique flatware set by well known silversmiths Wood & Son Dublin. The set comes in a wonderful quarter sawn oak custom made chest with two drawers. All pieces are marked Wood & Son, the chest is marked as well.

The set contains 76 pieces including the following. (1) 12 1/2 serving spoon. (1) 9 3/4 meat fork.

(1) 10 1/4 meat fork. (1) 12 1/2 meat knife. (1) 12 1/4 sharpening steel. This is a used set fresh from a local estate. We have attempted no cleaning or polishing.

Most pieces are in good to excellent condition. The two meat knives have blade wear and one especially has been extensively sharpened. We are not sure what the knife handles are made of but some of these have wear. The case exterior is very nice but we do not have the key. The interior does show wear with some loss here and there (a few of the wood blocks that hold pieces in place are missing).
