Antique Boxed French Sterling Clad Silver Serving Set Desert Icecream

For a fancy dinner or buffet, this French sterling silver serving set is perfect. It consists of an over-sized scoop and a knife with the wide blade. Both the scoop and the knife are marked with the Emile Bergeron makers mark as well as the Minerva 1 mark indicating. The handles are in a Victorian floral pattern with minimal use marks. The business end of both pieces is marked Metal Blanc, which is mostly silverplate. The set is housed in a leatherette and velvet lined box which has clearly seen use over 100 years of life, but is functional and intact. Measurements are: scoop 10 1/2" by 3 1/8", knife 10 5/8" by 2".
