Henry Hobson & Sons of Sheffield and London, England. Forks - Identical to that used on board the Titanic. Rare Set of forks in the same Panel Reed Shield pattern that was used in the staterooms of First Class accommodation of the Titanic. There was also another version used on board, which was also the panel reed pattern, but no shield. In great overall condition, plating is still bright, some signs of age use and wear as per the clear pictures.
Please remember these pieces are the same pattern and date to the cutlery supplied to the titanic and are not actually from the Titanic. This is the panel reed shield version, I have included a picture of the modern reproductions being produced today which has information about the titanic and the pattern.
These are not modern reproductions, but original to the period. RMS Titanic & White Star Line. The pattern supplied was Panel Reed and this set is the same panel reed pattern and and original to the Titanic Period. Cutlery supplied to the White Star Line was engraved with the White Star monogram and can be seen in museums across the world.
RMS Titanic In 1912 she was the world's most opulent liner RMS Titanic. The 268 metre-long Titanic was the height of luxury in its day. So this original period set is competitively priced. This set wasn't of course used on the titanic, but is the id.
