C1890s English Victorian Set of 12 Silver Plate Fish Forks & Knives Fitted Case

This listing is for an antique English Sheffield silver plate fish cutlery set with its original fitted case. The set includes 12 knives which measures 8 1/2 inches long and 12 forks which are 7 1/2 inches long. The fitted wood case, when closed, measures 2 1/2 inches high, and is 13 3/4 by 10 inches across the top.

The flatware features an aesthetic pattern and ribbed silver plate collars. The blades of the knives have a notch at the top and are engraved with scrolling design. The forks have silver plate tines with an engraved linear and floral design. The fitted storage case is wood with a light brown silk interior, it is hinged on one side and has an escutcheon with a safety clasp at the front and comes with its original key.

There are some splits in the handles, all the silver plate work is in good condition, and the box is in good condition for its age as well.
