Twelve (12) place setting set of Dorothy Vernon Silver Plate Flatware from the 1930's - 73 total pieces. My research on this silver plate indicates it was made by the McGlashan-Clark Company of Niagara Falls, Ontario (Canada). They were evidently in business from the 1920's until the mid 1950's.
It was the basis for a play and a 1924 silent movie with Mary Pickford starring as Dorothy. My impression is that, in comparison to other patterns and manufacturers, there are not many complete sets like this one - in the United States.
The set includes a total of 73 pieces. Nicely polished in the original wooden case and protective cloth interior. This is a great set ready to use!
It is a classy pattern that is sure to impress your guests! This set was left to my wife and I by a family friend - we have our own complete silver plate set and have decided to part with this set - to a good home.
