Very fine 7 piece Victorian cruet set. Variety of cut crystal bottles. All match and all the cut glass stoppers match. There are 2 large bottles with pierced hallmarked silver tops; 2 more large bottles with stoppers.
There are a further 2 smaller matching bottles, one with stopper and the other with a silver soy spoon attached to the stopper. The 7th piece is the matching crystal mustard pot with hinged silver lid.
There is a mustard spoon which is hallmarked but not contemporary. The oval cruet stand has embossed sides, with a trailing pattern of grapes and vine leaves.
At each end there is an embossed'green man', and there vacant cartouches on each side. The carrying handle can be detached, and is in the form of a loop with beaded and acanthus leaf decoration. The base is of polished wood, and the whole is raised on 4 cast flange feet. It is difficult to find large cruet sets with all the bottles in top condition; so this example is a worthwhile find to consider. Dimensions: Overall length 21cms width 15.5cms max.
