BEAUTIFUL QUALITY VINTAGE JAMES DIXON & SONS. A rare, superb cased 14 piece set (6 place setting & extras - see below) of fine quality, Vintage, heavy, Steak knives and forks and sharpening steel by famous quality English Silversmiths, James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield. All with quality Stag horn handles, stainless steel heads and beautiful ornate Silver Plated ferrules and terminals. Housed in original, silk and velvet lined, hard fitted case. Fine Quality, Highly Collectable, Heavy Cutlery, Perfect for entertaining in style. This really is a fantastic set in such great condition! Each (serrated edge) knife measures 9.5 long approx. Each fork 7 long approx. Case measures 14" x 14" x 1.5 approx. Total weight 2.5kg approx (unpacked). Marked - (Trumpet) James Dixon & Sons. In Very Good, clean sparkling bright condition. Very little sign of regular use. Minor fine surface scratching commensurate with age / light use. Case is also very good with only minor surface scratches / scuffs (see pics).
