An Antique Victorian silver-plated and mother-of-pearl handled fruit set for six people, having engraved rounded bladed knives and four-prong forks with floral decoration, with large hand-chased ferrules connecting the mother-of-pearl handles, all fitted into a silk and velvet-lined presentation box. The ferrules are absolutely stunning. (Photographs do not do them justice) The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver fruit service are length of knife 20 cms (8 inches), and the length of the fork 17.5 cm(7 inches). The only anomaly I can see is one of the forks has a very minor crack to the Mother of Pearl. The box is not original but suits the set the catches are broken (see pictures) and there are a few scrapes and tears commensurate with age and use.
