William Beatson&Sons Sheffield Band Mother Pearl Silver Plate Flatware Sterling

This is an exceptional Edwardian and beautiful service for 12 of stunning knives and forks with mother of pearl handles. The set was made in Sheffield, England by. William Beatson & Sons (Charles Beatson) according to the mark and the online encyclopedia of Silver. They are marked with Sheffield Crown, lion and letter "D". The blades of the knives are marked T. The blades of the knives have a rounded form and the forks each have four tines/prongs. The anterior surface of each knife is embellished with finely engraved decoration. These pieces are in excellent condition for their age, only slight signs of use in the way of surface scratches.

Please have in mind that the defects looks bigger when we used the magnifying camera lenses. The handles are glossy and were well taken care of over the years, no chips or damage. Included is the original case. The knives are 7 7/88" long, the forks are 6 3/4" long. The set is in good condition without bend ends.

It could have some scratches that are consistent with normal use. Please be aware that closeups exaggerate & amplify imperfections. The set is in a wooden presentation box with red padding inside. The box is in very good antique condition with some minimal wear. Actual color may differ from the photo due to lighting conditions.
