It was inside this box. The house belonged to the Speer family in Americus, Ga. Members of the family have a long and outstanding history. I do not think the silverware came in this box. I think it was just stored there and set aside.
Some of the patterns match and some do not. There are different makers marks and different dates. Some backdating to the 1800s.
Some of the flatware says Sterling. Some pieces do not say sterling, but they look and feel the same, as the pieces that say sterling. I dont know how to tell which is which.
